Marillion Box Set - 'The Early Stages 82-88'

Dear all,

We understand that some of you have been contacted by corporate retail outlets with regard to the forthcoming album 'Early Stages - the official bootlegs 82-87'.

Lucy and I have been in discussion with EMI for weeks and have been trying to sort out some issues that we have.
We had hoped to have been able to announce the release ourselves but the news that it is already on offer has, to say the least, disappointed us.

At this stage we don't want to go into detail on our position with EMI as we hope to have it resolved very quickly.

Both Lucy and I would like to ask you to hold off from ordering this title from 3rd party outlets and await a statement on our position which Lucy, Marillion and myself are totally united on.

Our strength is in our unity and that includes yourselves as fans of the bands and supporters of our independent approach.

We would greatly appreciate your support and as soon as we have clarified the situation we will make a joint announcement as to the outcome.
